Description
Welcome to the Kingdom of Id, a one-horse kingdom ruled by a wretched, pint-sized tyrannical despot known only as The King. This is a collection of Brant Parker and Johnny Hart’s award-winning newspaper strip, featuring a cast of wise-cracking wizards and rotten rulers, drunken has-been jesters and cowardly knights. | About The Author | Brant Parker used ideas from a deck of playing cards to create the first few strips of The Wizard of Id. The strip was first syndicated on November 9, 1964 – drawn by Parker and co-written by Parker and Hart. In 1997 Brant Parker passed his writing duties on to his son Jeff Parker, who had already been involved with creating Id for a decade. Johnny Hart is an American cartoonist noted as the creator of the comic strip B.C. and co-creator of The Wizard of Id. Hart was recognized with several awards, including five from the National Cartoonists Society. |
