About The Author

John Richardson is the author of a multivolume biography on the life of Picasso. He is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, and Vanity Fair. Gertje Utley is an art historian, and the author of Pablo Picasso: The Communist Years, 2000.Michael Fitzgerald is director of the art history program at Trinity College, Hartford, CT, and has written several books on Picasso, including Picasso and American Art, 2006.
